Join us for the Midwest Archives Conference Annual Meeting! |
Join us for the MAC Annual Meeting in Madison, WI, May 5-7, 2022, at the Madison Concourse Hotel and Governor’s Club! Early bird rates end after April 7th!
Program: The conference theme of “Moving Archives Forward” is a tribute to the state’s motto “Forward,” adopted in 1851 and meant to signify Wisconsin's continuous drive to be a national leader. This provides a useful lens through which to examine the archival profession and to explore professional, environmental, societal, and cultural factors that affect the way we move forward, the way we see trends, and the way we identify challenges and opportunities. Note that a variety of tours are planned for Thursday, May 5 along with the opening reception which will take place at the Wisconsin Historical Society. We are also please to welcome plenary session speaker Margaret Noodin, Professor of English and American Indian studies at the University of Wisconsin–Milwaukee. Dr. Noodin also serves as the Associate Dean of the Humanities and Director of the Electa Quinney Institute for American Indian Education.
Accommodations: For those attending in person, note that in order to receive your special MAC rate, reservations must be made by Friday, April 8, 2022. To make your reservations, call the hotel directly at 1-800-356-8293 and identify yourself as part of the Midwest Archives Conference or use the group code 899041.
