Ralph Pugh, Assistant University Archivist and an adjunct history professor at the Illinois Institute of Technology (IIT), will speak on the “Voices of the Holocaust Project” at IIT, which has created a web site that incorporates all of the audiotaped interviews (with transcriptions) that were made by IIT psychology professor David P. Boder with Holocaust survivors in European displaced persons’ camps in the summer of 1946.  Pugh will discuss Boder’s career, the challenges involved in gathering documentation from various sources (most of them non-IIT), and the development of the web site.

Gainfully Employed!

Merle Branner, CARA member, is now the Coordinator of Instructional Technology at Woodlands Academy in Lake Forest, Il.  She is teaching technology to students, faculty and staff.  In addition, she is the webmaster.  She also provides archival consulting to the Alumni Director who is in charge of the School Archives.  Merle also assists the Marketing department by providing them with her photography expertise when requested.

Congratulations, Merle!  CARA members wish you all the success in the world!  You deserve it!!
